In 1956 Luis Torrents, president of the prestigious "Óptica Torrents" of Barcelona, gave birth to the first PEGASO glasses, designed and crafted for ENASA - a  very important manufacturer of the well-known PEGASO trucks, and leading company of the growing automobilistic industry of that time.

In 1977 Mario Gorina took over the leadership of the company and started a new phase for PEGASO- marked by a high knowledge and specialization in eye protection- with a clear goal for quality.  This added to a strict commercial policy based on defense to its distributors, brought the company to lead the Spanish market.

In 1980 the high work volume obligates the company to move to a bigger headquarter in St. Mimosas in Barcelona.

In 1992 CE strict rules came actively, OPTOR, SA - PEGASO took active part in their creation and application in Spain, especially in the INSHT in Sevilla, -being one of the first to offered certificated products.

In 1997 Ivan Gorina entered the company, gaving continuity and new inputs to the company's continuous effort of improvement, and he began the  brand's international expansion.

In 2006 Under the 50th anniversary celebration and the need of a bigger and more efficient space - a new headquarter was designed  and constructed in ALMEDA industrial area in Cornellá (Barcelona).

Nowadays, from this new headquarters we will keep on doing continuous efforts to offer the best quality and design for eye protection industry,  seeking for our users and distributors total satisfaction.
